A name given to many early, ancient and semi-historical (12-15th century) kings of Èkìtì kingdoms, such as Àkúrẹ́ or Ìlárá-Mọ̀kín. This name is also found in the names of towns founded by figures named Ògbólú, see Ìta-Ògbólú ("crossroad/square of Ògbólú) or Òdògbólú ("town of Ògbólú").
